Hampta pass trek is a trek with enormous variation,scenic landscapes, open green pastures and meadows, glacial valleysand an exceptional, adventurous and hair raising crossing of the pass makes it exciting , and is known to get the adrenaline pumping. It is one of the most unusual yet stunning treks in India.
Upon driving out of the town of Manaliup till Jobra, you will witness beautiful and lush forests of Pine and Maple. From there the trek begins taking us from forests to meadows.
We will make our way through scenic landmark of wildflower meadows in Juara and the river delta in BalukaGhera.
Overlooking the Dhauladhar, we make our way through the glacial SheaGoru. All the challenges of the trail will be overshadowed by the beauty of the pass.
As we keep moving, we are stunned by the mighty peaks of Deo Tibba, Indraasan, and Indrakila.
After crossing the Hampta Pass, we make our way to the vibrant Chandrataal through Chhatru.
Chandrataallake is a breathtaking lake nestled between Himalayan peaks. It’s calm and crystal clear waters and scenic beauty makes it a perfect location to enjoy the serenity of nature and an ideal place to trek and camp.
We finally bid our farewell to the Chandrataal and head back to Manali via the famous Rohtang Pass.

A- Yes, it is suitable for a healthy person between the age group of 13 to 60 years. The trek is moderately difficult. Therefore, it is recommended to engage in physical exercise before the trek to be prepared for walking almost 6-7 hours everyday during the trip. You can begin jogging for 20-30 mins or pace walking for atleast 5 Kmseveryday to match the fitness requisites of the trek.
